Default Yamaha

This is the silver sparkle Yamaha Absolute Birch kiy I use to own, I just found this photo, and thought I would share it with you guys. This was my favourite kit until I found the Ludwigs. Yes, I know, I look like I'm possessed.

What is the size of that kick? It looks like 16" or 18". I know your Ludwig kick is a 22". Which kit do you enjoy playing the most?

The kick was a 16x20. I loved that kit, but my Ludwigs are the best kit I've ever owned.

I really like that mahogany finish on your Ludwig kit I've never played a Yamaha kit, only Ludwig. I've heard a lot of good things about Yamaha. Were you playing in a Jazz ensemble in that picture?

That was a laquer finish.

I wish I had kept it, but I bought the kit for $700 and sold it for $1200, oh well, at least I made a profit.

That was a cover band, playing mostly rock tunes. The Yamahas sounded really good for a small kit.

8x12 tom
14x14 floor tom
16x20 kick
5x14 snare

Nice kit. I have kept it personally, I've always had a soft spot for Yamaha.
