When the time comes Bill look around for one of these lighter Epoch production model ones around 2600g is my word of advice. Something really magical happening in the more open dark airy complex wash around the clear woody stick at this weight.

Having said that the heavier ones are still pure magic too in a slightly different way. Played a 3240g sample {the heaviest i've ever seen to date} from the latest run from the factory that had a killer stick sound and overall vibe.

Just for giggles, Stan, here's another shot of my Epoch prototype. It's the nastiest Agop I have. I traded one of my 22" '06 Limited edition rides for the proto and a 20" SE.

It sure is...:}

Pies from the Traditional, Azure and the new Xist line come to mind. You could also look at pies from the Alchemy series owned by the parent company Istanbul Agop.

One thing I forgot to add is in a seated postion there's lot of room between the 3 pies to deliver a easy hit with stick in hand especially for the 10" splash in the middle using these 6" stackers.

Oh yes i'm loving the new venture into Alchemy line of pies for this acoustic jazz player.

Now only if only Alchemy/Agop would make me a 2200g Alchemy Pro Raw ride!..... :}

When Stanley gets older and the Arthritis sets in he will be able to retire from drumming and make a nice living just selling his cymbal collection. Man you have more pies than my local bakery.

OMG! They sound so sweet. It's that really old time dark hat sound. The only problem is that they're VERY thin. I've had to change my technique a bit so that I don't deform the bottom hat.

Yes the Agop Sigs and the 15" OM hats both have the "old time" dark vibe with a modern Turkish twist too in the mix.

Wait till you hear them recorded within the musical mix... that's where the REAL fun begins jordanz :}
