Hey man! I have one of those sets, too! Great set, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine, those things get the job done. I like the way you set up, clean, simple, and functional. That snare drum that came with the set is SO poppy if you really crank it, I just set it up as a side snare, took the snares up and cranked it. Love it!

There are also links to more pics in my signature. I'm changing things all the time.

Great kit, comfy setup, and LOVELY ride.

Props, dude. How's the pinstripe/falam combo working on the bass? Do you prefer softness or punch in your sound?

First thing that caught my eye was that ride. Good choice. That bass must have a nice thud with all that packing ;-)

That's what I forgot to mention, I used to have my bass muffled with one pillow but I found it made the bass far too quiet.

Patskumaster, do you have that problem, or does the bass still push through the mix?

my stagestar gets used more than my superstar's, too easy to break down and move and sound good in the process.

I think my bass works very well. You should try put one or two thin pillow in the bass drum.

I really like Hybrid-ride. It's just right dry and bell sound is excellent. Also very crashability.

I hope you understand my english text.

Keep on rocking!

I used to have a Stagestar; with good skins and proper tuning, they sound great, way above their "entry level" status. ( they are very portable as well!)
