Default Canopus Solid Zelkova

I just got a Canopus Solid Zelkova on ebay. My snare buying days are done.

It is a solid piece bored out from a tree. Not even steam bent.

I almost got that exact one from ebay, went with a brady instead.
I offered 750...how much did he finally sell it for, if you don't mind...

I thought that was the true definition of a solid snare. I would think a bent piece would be a single ply.

Regardless, very beautiful.

Great looking drum for sure. However, it has been reported that the paint on the drum has lead content from China and must be sent to the clearing house for testing. Please address the package to:

Johnny Getz
Drum Paint Testing Center
Seminole, Florida.

Testing usually takes approximately 3 - 4 months and you will be advised of the test results
as soon as possible.

I paid full price. I did not get a deal but the going rate. I did swing a deal on my Spirit of 2002 which was more expensive then this snare.
I am getting an excellent deal on my Sonor Five Star Kit.

Something tells me the drum will be found to have an extremely high lead content, making it unsuitable for playing, and it will be confiscated for further research ...

Beautiful drum. I've heard of Canopus solid shells. The slightly bowed shell makes it look very distinct and beautiful.
