Default Tower of Power

I had the privelege of seeing Tower of Power this past weekend at a small venue. I had seats four rows from the stage. Let me just say that it was the most incredible thing I've ever seen. Garibaldi and the rest of the band were amazing.

Any of you who haven't had a chance to see them should try to do so. They are without a doubt the tightest band I've ever seen or heard.

My band is learning "What is hip?". Great band for sure.

I saw them when they were last here in Ottawa in 2003, and it was one of the best shows I had seen in years. Five members of the popular 70's incarnation of the band are with them for this tour, as guitarist Bruce Conte returned last year.

They're coming back on Oct 30th and I've got my tickets!

Ya they are awesome, not only have they influenced the world of Ska, but their music has a nice grove to it that lasts through the whole song.
The Average White Band, Earth, Wind, and Fire and Chicago are some awesome bands too, but ToP still takes the cake.

I saw Tower of Power with Russ McKinnon, who in an excellent drummer. However, I sure wish it was David G. behind the kit that night.
