Default My Lucky Day / Spirit 2002 14X6.5 and DW Neil Peart Edge

I was buzzing around and really considering going 13X5 with a Spirit of 2002 on ebay listed by a Sonor forum member.

I really wanted to go 14X6.5 and was just discussing it with Shane of Portland Maine Five Star Drum Shop and ordering my DW Neil Peart Edge as he could not get me a 2002.

A few members at Sonor felt the 14" to be a better drum so I was really struggling with going for the 13".

I needed more information so I thought completed listings on ebay.

Well ebay search and I was going to look at completed listings and up for sale which was not there a half hour ago was a Spirit of 2002 14X6.5 FOR $1200 buy now. Ebay seller had lots of good transactions...

GUESS WHAT?
:D

I now have fullfilled my drumset and snare drum dreams

I am getting a second DW Neil Peart Edge

and a Spirit of 2002 6.5X14, #203

I will sell my Dunnett Titanium, a TD3 Brain and my Trek Ironman bike.
My priorities are very straight
:D

Goooood!
That spirit of 2002 snare drum looks like a real killer if that makes sense. I guess it is made from 2002 Paiste cymbals? =)
Is the shell poured, how thick??

Great additions!

Karl

That 2oo2 is SWEET! BTW, why do you need two Neil Peart edge drums?

I just really love the one I got so I am getting a second for my Signature Hybrid kit.
I often change up snares on that kit and I do not want to lug the first one back and forth from room to room. It weighs a ton and I have a spinal cord injury. I hope to love the Spirit of 2002 as much. All will go to my Son so its a good investment. He may get the one DW Edge early.
He is a good kid.

So do plan on listing the Dunnett on ebay? I'm curious what the asking price will be, I'm starting to shop for a new snare myself... Congrats on the 2002, I love the tone of that snare

Its made from 2002s so its actually the same B8 that goes into the cymbals.

Check out the video on the main site of Danny Carey playing the end of 'Lateralus' on the Spirit of 2oo2 Kit. Yes, they made a whole kit of those shells; it sounds beastly; that's a great snare drum. How's the Edge?

I was totally blessed. The listing was only up five minutes. I nailed the buy now and its history. I was praying about this and I never ask for material things.

Its kinda weird and very funny. I was talking to Shane about availability. I had just completed a transaction with him for the DW Neil Peart Edge on the floor. He said that he could not get me a Spirit 2002.

I was just going to ebay to do a completed listings check....and bango there it was just newly listed. I think I nailed it in the first 5 to 15 minutes of listing for a really reasonable bynow from a seller with 60 perfect drum transactions.

I cannot say enough about my faith and my prayers. I rarely ask for materials things in prayer. Funny thing is its Thanksgiving Weekend up here in Canada and the anniversay of my Mom's birthday who passed one week before I broke neck in three places in Aug 2003.

To me the Spirit of 2002 snare and the way I landed it plus the the date 2002 was the last full year of my life when I was "normal" all mean a lot to me personally.

I think Mom and God were looking down on me and did a real nice thing.

Thats my sermon and I am still kinda in shock I was blessed so nicely. It looks like I have already sold my Dunnett snare to a member of PDF from Finland and my TD3 to a member of Drummerworld Forum. So far things are moving nicely.

My new hybrid is gonna kill with the two new snares and my HDL 580. Either the new Spirit of 2002 and or the new DW Neil Peart Edge side by side. I change up snares a lot on the Signature kit. Now I will have more fun then ever.
