Default Paiste 18" Rude China?

Not much to say here but my band plays metal, my current cymbal setup consists of a 17" Zildjian A custom crash, a 19" Zildjian A custom crash, a 20" A medium ride and 14" A custom mastersound hi hats.

Do you guys think a Paiste 18" Rude China will be suitable for me? And like I said before we play metal.

Thanks.

Yes, the Rude China (and the whole series) was designed for metal.

Ok awesome thanks.

What do people think of the Wuhan Chinas because they're a lot cheaper than other Chinas.

Also, I need to get a splash cymbal, I was thinking 10" or 12". What size would you guys recommend for metal and what type? I was searching ebay and found some Sabian AAxplosions for good prices.

What do you guys think?

I had a 20" Rude china. It's a nice, very loud cymbal, with an industrial feel and lots of high frequiencies in the mix. The sustain is quite long and the cymbal is "slow". You have to really whack it for it to sound best. It's not a versatile cymbal.

I have a 20" wuhan and it's quite different from the Rude. The wuhan is much darker, dirtier and with a shorter sustain. Very loud as well. And much cheaper than the Rude :)

I suggest you try both, but I'd go for the Wuhan.

I don't want one that isn't versatile at all.

What would you guys reckon is good for metal but sort of versatile as well and what size would you recommend? I was thinking 18" or 19".

A Wuhan (they're loud). Or a Meinl Byzance / MB20 in 18". They're all more musical than the Rude.

I really like the price of the Wuhan Chinas but are they actually any good? I don't want them to sound really crap or break easily.

I've also been thinking about a Sabian AAX 18" China.

Edit: I think I'll go with the Wuhan because they're much cheaper and I need to get a few more cymbals and I want them to be good quality ones.

I own a Paiste Rude 18" China, and it's absolutely brutal. Brutal to the point that when you hit it, people will put their hands over their ears. I've played Wuhan chinas, and honestly.. they don't come close to the same pang.

However, since I don't play hardcore/metal any more, I'd be willing to sell it to you for an affordable price. ;)

How much would you be willing to sell it for do you think?

I live in Australia by the way.
