Shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up...

The 9000 was the only thing that ever made want something other than my Flying Dragons. The $500 pricetag is what stopped me.

Nice score. Hope you enjoy the 9002. One thing I noticed in your pic's is that you have a standard drumkey in the right pedal key-holder. Assuming your seller didn't deliver the key originally provided with the kit, you might consider ordering one, particularly if you're going to take the pedal out of the house.

The key is model #DWSM 809, and it is three keys in one ... a 3/16"hex, a 5mm hex, and a standard/regular key. Having that key in the special built-in holder will allow you to avoid having to carry three tools to accomplish what one can do. It will also be right there, handy and ready for use. You will also need the three tools to make all of the adjustments on the pedals and linkage. They cost about $10-15. If you can't get one on the net, call DW customer service at 1-805-485-6999 and ask that they send you one, or that they provide you with the name of a shop that will send you one. For sure, any Five Star Drum Shop will hook you up.
Finally, if you don't have an instruction sheet, you can download one from the net and save it on your computer for reference. Joey

Good advice Joeybeats. I remember when I tried out these pedals at GC, they didn't have that key and I was thinking that those were some odd angles to tighten the screws that hold the beaters. Once i saw the key, it all made sense. The key is a must have for this pedal.

How do you like their feel? Once I played on my teachers new 9000 and it felt sweet, really smooth and sensitive. I sersiouly love their features...but can`t remember all. =)

They feel great I don't stomp hard on my pedals so these seem to go with my playing perfectly.

That is ridiculous. I envy you soo much. I went with my Pearls because they are extremely nice and because the 9000's were 3x's as expensive
