Default Posting on Youtube

This particular issue may have been addressed in another thread, but I can't seem to find it. I've got a Roland E-kit with a TD-3 module and was wondering if anyone knew how to go about posting on Youtube. Specifically, playing along to a track while the viewer/listener is hearing my drums w/ the song and not the actual recorded drum track on the song. I'm assuming this is fairly rudimentary, but I'm a complete amateur when it comes to this stuff. Any help is appreciated...

well, you wont be able to remove the drum track from a song, but you will be able to record your drums with the song of your choice.

is your question: how do i record my song and drums? like the set-up

or is it: how do i remove the drumt rack so the viewer can only hear my version?

I just learned what people to post songs and play along with them like you asked. What you have to do is pretty much listen to the song with headphones or somthing, then get a friend who is good with comps to combine it with the song you like, and it will sound like you are playin along with the track. To combine it, i have no idea how.

Ironcobra - yes, how do I go about recording my drums along w/ the song (obviously w/o removing the drum track)? Thanks!

Well first what you will want to do is connect an MP3 player or ipod to the AUX input in the brain of the Edrums. This may require that you buy extra cables.

Once you have have all the sound levels set with the song, (your mp3 song should be coming out with the drum sounds) plug your headphone output on the brain on the drums into the Line In area on your sound card, make sure your Line In is turned on in your sound properties. (also should require more cables)

If you have it working correctly, the sound of your drums should be coming out of your computer speakers, then you can just use sound recorder in the start menu to record your audio, and record the video at the same time.

After you have both files, open Windows Movie Maker, and sync the audio and video, then its off to youtube.

If anything is confusing I will be glad to explain it in further detail, but there are plenty of people on the forum who will be able to explain better.

Doesn't sound too difficult ( I say that now). I really appreciate it, man. I'll give it a shot tomorrow and if I have any problems, I'll re-post. Thanks again!

I plug a cd player into the brain, put a jack to jack lead into the 'output' socket [of the brain-on the back] and the other end into the 'mike' input on the computer and then play the cd, drumalong and all is recorded with Audacity software [downloadable], the only thing to be careful is the volume of the brain; if you go over 0.5 [half] then its too loud to record and distorts.
