Default My kit

Seems outdoor shots are all the rage these days, so here's a few of mine after a thorough cleaning and new heads (still waiting on the reso's and the other bass is down for repair)...

(click the image for full album)

1988 Tama Swingstar

6x14" Tama snare
Remo Emperor coated/Ambassador reso heads

18x24" dbl bass (only one pictured)
Aquarian head

12x13" Remo ebony pinstripe/Tama orig reso (for now)
12x14" Remo ebony pinstripe/Tama orig reso (for now)
16x16" Remo ebony pinstripe/Tama orig reso (for now)
16x18" Remo ebony pinstripe/Tama orig reso (for now)

Cymbals (left to right):

14" Zildjian New Beat hats (one cracked - waiting on replacement from ebay win)
18" original Zildjian Rock crash
16" original Zildjian medium crash
18" Paiste Signature crash
24" original Zildjian hevay ride
19" Paiste 3000 crash

Still using original Tama Swingstar hardware/pedals along with a few odd stands. I'm looking for deals on IC or DW dbl pedals and some new cymbals for this kit. I'm also planning on ordering a SCP kit before the IC pedal deal ends in Sept.

that height difference almost seems like a handicap.

You could increase efficiency by putting everything on an almost level plane.

The throne looks like a gift from the doctors office. Hope the wheels are stable.

If he had a second bass drum, that snare would be such a pain to mic.

Your drums look almost identidcal to mine (well, my heads are clear).

If only there was a second bass, this would be a very amazing swingstar (still sweet though)

Sorry, life got in the way for awhile.

Yeah, the throne is something I found at a garage sale - I've got a used gibralter enroute from an ebay win.

I've got the second kick drum, but it needs some minor repairs and heads and I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Being an 88 kit, when deep toms were all the rage, it limits how low I can set the mounted toms. I could probably raise the floor tom a bit but I'm used to playing it this way so it's good.

On a side note, I just bought a 5pc Starclassic Performer kit for $550 off craigslist. I need to make some cosmetic repairs but it sounds great!
