Default New Snare and Hi-Hats

i went on a little "used" buying binge today. I got a pearl piccolo snare for $70, and a pair of Paiste Alhpa sound edge 14" hats for $60, both used. The hats have some kind of green stuff on them, and i was wondering what is a good thing to clean them with. thanks.

any cymbal cleaner formulated for B8 Bronze cymbals (8% tin) should do the trick. your local drum store should have it.

i've heard of people using a product called "groove juice" on some cymbals, but i'm not so sure it's the way to go. the wrong product can leave you with more thank just some "green stuff"...

Nice! The old Alphas are great cymbals for the money!
From which material is the Piccolo snare made? Steel?

Get some Paiste brand cleaner.

Paiste has a special coating on their cymbals that groove juice and non-paiste cleaners will damage.

Nice snare, Im with Karl, whats the shell made of?

Lookin good, how long you been playing and what styles are you into?

Also looks like you could mabey compact that kit a little, it looks really spread out, but thats all up to you, ya know?

And I see a e-kit, what kind is it? how you like it? im thinkin bout getting a td-3 or something for goofin off at night.

I've been playing for about 7 months. i really enjoy playing fast punk/rock beats, but slow jams are fun too. The e-kit i have is a roland td-3, its a great little toy! Also, im pretty tall, so im able to reach everything on my kit with ease, plus, the picture angles make it look more spread out than it actually is!

Right on man, How much did you pay for your td-3 did you buy it used? sounds like your on a solid start with 2 kits. Remember tho, don't limit your styles, enjoy and embrace them all!
