Default Sabian Artisan Ride

If you have one how do you like it? I love mine I'm just curious about what someone else thinks about them.

I have the 22" Light Ride, and it's amazing!

I love the trashyness, the woody stick sound, and the sound of it! I often put a little piece of gaffa under it, so i can "control" it better..

iv ehard it on a few videos, and i was interested in the trashiness, but it seemed to overpower the playing.

the guys were doing jazz, and it just seemed to roar a little too much.

I do use it for jazz but not in a small setting. It works in a big setting all you really get is a good stick sound.

Go to the Sabian website they have the best clips. I was thinking of getting the 22" light but its just too much, and Sabian is normally cheaper than Paiste etc. Instead in 48hrs im testing out some Istanbuls and...we'll see...

Hey I just thought of this, doesn't Bernhard have one of these rides?

As seen in the "My Drumset" section:

I think thats somebody's personal kit isn't it? If it isn't its the one I have. It's heavy enough where you get more stick sound than actual wash. But I guess you could use it like Ronald Brunner Jr. It looks like a crash cymbal the way he uses it.

Yea the 22" RRP is i think $1269 or there abouts. Just too expensive. Even though Tony at cymbalsonly is great i just can't buy things like cymbals off the net. Doesn't really matter though it's like i've got my own Tony down here anyway, just not a big range.
