Luddy looks like a painted-finished Acrolite. Great-sounding drums.

looks tiiiiiight.
i assume everything came alright? good bearing edges and whatnot?
sick selection of cymbals, especially the vintage hats and crash/ride.
and i second the motion that you have an acrolite -- the contour of the shell and the black sparkle finish are a dead giveaway.

Beautiful kit...I love the color.

Your Ludwig snare is indeed an Acrolite snare. The acrolites I believe came in either a grey finish or the black sparkle (galaxy). I could've had a 6-1/2 x 14 Acrolite a few years back and I could kick myself for not taking it.

That bass drum looks like it could kill a small wooded animal if it walked by it.......BOOOOOOOMMM!

Enjoy.

lol, thanx guys, i love squirrels and such and would never want to hurt one but it is nice to know if i wanted to i have the firepower to do so...lol...all the bearing edges are fine and everything quality and workmanship wise is great, the only problem was that the 16" floor tom was scratched all to hell in shipping but gc is taking care of me and sending me a new one so i'm too terribly pissed about it...thanx for the great comments and keep them coming. o, and thanx for that snare info. does any one think 175 was a good price to pay for that snare?

Sounds a bit much to me since Acrolites can be had on ebay for around $100. I'm not sure how much the black galaxy finish adds to the cost though, so maybe its a decent price.

New? CN or USD? New would be OK, but as said above, there are millions of used ones out there. I got my Supraphonic (next step up, same shell with ten lugs and chrome plate) for 150USD used at GC.

Still have the reciept?

I think the Galaxy Acrolites go for a little more than the standards, but I may be wrong. They are definitely nice. I gigged with one last night, but it is in some need of tender love and care.

I like the new ddrum kit.

With the combination of having a 20inch deep bass, a Superkick, and an Emad reso, that bass will probably be able to jump start your heart.

Yeah, I would be like: "Could you please get an 20inch deep bass with a superkick and an emad reso head on it, and please call an ambulance" "O, and please find a pedal too, I might need that".

I think asking for an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is easier ;), and you have a chance you give the person to much of a shock with such a bassdrum. An AED analyses the heart rythm by itself and indicates if a shock is needed. But still, it's a great idea. :)

Very nice. Thats pretty green. Comftorbal setup and nice vintage zildijans. I would deffonatly get somemore cymbals probaly like a 19" or a 20" but thats just me. I would take your kit over my kit anyday. Sweet drum rack too!

Also, can you tell us about your recording setup you have there? Did you make a riser to go in combination with your screen for isolation?

Thanks

for mics i use CAD equipment
bass KBM412
tom and snare TSM411
overheads ICM417

all that goes to a peavey 14 channel mixer except the bass which goes through a 32 band eq and then to the mixer....the recording program i use is from m-audio...i believe it's called session?

I love your kit, the colour, the setup and the cymbals! Looks very comfy. Nice snares, I like the blonde one best :)

Where did you get your vintage zildjians (if you don't mind me asking)? Ebay? I've been looking for a 20" crash/ride. How does yours sound? Is there still a distinct ping to it? I'd assume not, since you have the ping ride as your primary ride haha.

i actually traded out some that i had for those, which belonged to my church...the ride is super washy as are the hats when played open, but i love them that way...at the moment i'm saving up for a 24" ride...probly a K to replace the ping...i'm getting sick of that thing, but i'll keep it for rock use.
