What in the world? I didn't know you could make drums out of plastic mixing bowls.

When was the photo taken? And, most important, how do they sound?

Believe it or not, these were built by William Zicko.

Wow. What are they made of and how do they sound?

I'd start a Star Trek themed band in a heartbeat if I had those.

Photo was taken in 1980 or 1981. They sound like butt, but if you look closely, I had a Synare Sensor mounted on the rim of my makeshift timbale sort of situation. I spared no expense when it came to high-tech back in the pre-digital days!

I had one of those Synare Sensor synth ... a very interesting little box (for 1981).

That picture looks pretty old. Those drums kind of look like steel drums. Pretty cool.

Ummm... wow. That's a drumset right? 'Cause it looks like it might eat small children if left to itself.

Definitely an eyecatcher though, too bad it sounds like butt, haha.

With only one head no wonder it sounded like butt. Would have been so hard to tune.

It's Bennie & the Jetsons...lol anyway...
They sort of look like small tympani. You just need an egg chair for a throne too. At least they aren't octagons or other strange shapes.

Looks like Ludwig stealing the rights to acrylic drums hit Mr. Zicko kinda hard.
