Default My Kit (I'm sure most of you will hate it)

After browseing these forums for a few months I figured I would post some pics of my kit.
I Play Death Metal/Grindcore and I feel it suits that so here are some pics and a list of the gear.

Gretsch Catalina Rock 26x16 Inch bass drum 14 inch rack 16 and 18 floors
Pearl Vinnie Paul Signature 14x8 Snare
Dw 9000 Double pedal (With Axis Universal Connector Rod)
Dw 9000 Hardware (mostly, various Pdp stands too)
Zildjian Z custom 20inch power Ride
Zildjian Z custom 20inch projection crash
Zildjian Z custom 20inch china
Zildjian Z custom 18 inch rock crash
Zildjian Z custom 18 inch china
Zildjian Z custom 16 inch Rock Crash/Medium crash Hi-hats
Zildjian Z custom 14 inch master sound Hihats
Zildjian Z custom 14inch splash
Zildjian Z custom 12 inch splash
Zildjian Zfx 6.5 inch Z bell
Zildjian Zfx 9.5 inch Z bell

I noticed a lot of people saying the Z customs suck and aren't versitile but they are reeeaaallly loud and sound great in my band. Well thats how I feel.

Here are some pics Due to the size of the room there in I can't really get the whole kit in 1 pic so here a 3 with horrible lighting, sorry.

Personally, I don't like the look of the Vinnie Paul snare, but everything else looks top notch. I definitely don't hate this kit, and I think as far as the Z Customs and the massive drum sizes, you've definitely got that heavy metal look and sound.

Love it!

I'm pretty sure this is the second time I've seen a Gretsch Catalina Rock around here. And you have the beautiful pearl white wrap!

I always ask people this haha...
What was the grand total?

A-The Floor toms both now have Evans Clear G2's at the moment.

B-Yeah the China's are way loud and I recently Put the 16 inch hats up and have played a few shows. Almost every drummer of the other bands comments on how loud and surprisingly good the big hats sound. It was a gamble on my part and I'm glad it paid off.

Nice I love big bass drums and toms. I'm contemplateing with my next shell kit getting a 28 bass 16 rack and 18 and 20 Floor but that is going to require a lot of cash :(

If i remember correctly, the 4 Shells and gretsch snare were like 850ish and the pearl snare 280 and the cymbal cost i have no idea. Luckily most of the cymbals were christmas/birthday gifts.

Haha, the snare's look gets mixed reviews. I honestly got it for the depth and price seeing as i couldnt find a 14X8 or 14x10 bronze or steel or even a good wood one near 300 bucks.

Yeah that looks to be bad lighting because the crash (if its the one I'm seeing that looks to have a large darkish spot) is about 2 weeks old and fairly clean in person.

Well, it may not be totally my bag, but for what you're looking for, it appears to fit the bill perfectly. Big drums, big, loud cymbals, looks good.

Nice tom sizes, obviously the cymbal are great for your music n all that but not my taste. I really want an 18" floor tom, I've never even seen one before.

If you look closely you can also see a promo movie poster for Aquamarine, it goes well with the other things on the walls. Especially the Black/Death metal posters lol

Its the heavyer Dw 9000 snare stand and the snare isn't bad to carry at all since I just throw is in a 14x10 floor tom case. What sucks the most to lug around is the bass drum in a hardshell getting through smaller doors is not fun.

I have the same kind of throne! Comfortable I must say. It's a shame Gretsch stopped making that color too. White swirl, right?

The Pork Pie zebra throne not only looks awesome but it is indeed very comfy. I believe its white nitron swirl or just white swirl which i thought was way cooler than the black version of the kit.
