New electric kit Roland HD-1?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SeYXVs7yu3U Seems like it's being released soon and this time around it's more budget focus. The best part is that it comes with the Roland Mesh V Pad Dual Trigger for the snare. Anyone tried it and can give a review of it? Though my concern is whether or not will this budget line E-kit's drum module be really horrible and just limited to those in the video. Though, unless it can be upgraded to a Td-6 module or higher, that could be fairly interesting : ) The Tom triggers seem different, I was wondering if anyone would know whether they are actually the same plastic pad triggers like the TD-6 toms or are these something that are actually way worst in quality? It seems most geared to triggered sounds and hip-hop styles. Perhaps it will work there, but I don't think thats something that I'll be getting any time soon. I'll take my TD-6SXT for twice the price any day.

It is the same toms and a similar modual to the td3/td6. It has an awkard rack and kick trigger.

Check out threads at the forum at www.vdrums.com. I think the consensus is that the HD-1 is better than a toy, but not nearly as good as a TD-3 (which I have and use) - the module is very limited, the rack lacks adjustability, the bass trigger doesn't use a real pedal.... But then again, the TD-3 is a lot more limited than a TD-6, etc., and it does the trick for me.

Look, I've got an acoustic at the mo and im looking to upgrade to an electric.
But im short on cash and i was just wandering if anyone can give me any advice on whether i should get the HD-1 or not. I've tried it and i like it but i need more feedback. Thanks. JLS

The only drawback I've experienced so far is the built in pedals. I much prefer my own "real" bass drum pedal and hi hat stand if at all possible. Other than that it is great for the money
