The Roc-n-soc is orderred. The last 4 Evans heads (for the 2 8's and 10's) are orderred. It's ~almost~ starting to look frightening! :-)

The one over the 16" roto ~might~ be out a little farther than normal, I haven't played 'em since recoverring the last few - and that stand got moved in the process. The rest look to be in their normal positions, and they are well within reach --- they're hanging in closer than the drums, just higher up, so it seems to work. The 8" splash, I have to stretch to hit it, but I don't see me ever wanting to hit it anyways :-) The ride's a bit of a stretch to the right, it's easy to hit, but if after 10~15 minutes on it, my arm does get sore. But for the most part, they're well within reach for me. The 10, 12, and 14 rototoms, on the other hand... I'm hoping the new throne will lift me up enough to reach 'em better.

I gotta say that kit looks pretty cool.

Reminds me of those old crazy double tom rows that Ludwig had in their catalog way back when.

I love big rotos, they have such a cool sound.

I'd really like to get maybe a 12 a 14 & a 16 someday... but they're not a priority right now.

Looks like you have some of the original chrome models?

I had the 6-8-10 back in '81 and they were chrome.

Have fun with your monster!

OK, an update has been a long time coming, think the only addition to the set has been the Roc-n-Soc (love it!) But... sound clips were wanted, I finally got something I can put up here, quality ain't the best, but it's here.
For the record, this is NOT me playing 'em, I'm actually humbled by the animal in this guy!!!
http://oldsmagnet.oldsgmail.com/MSP2/dansolo1.mov
It's like a 5.5MB file, so patience may be in order...
He's used to a 4 piece... He had a blast, pounded on 'em for at least an hour, never missed a beat.
Here's a clear shot of him in action

(again, NO this is NOT me!) -- These guys are trained professionials. -- or at least famed rockstars, anyways :-) They had a blast and so did we.
And here's a link to his band in action, half a chance some of you mighta seen them on TV?

--I haven't found an editable spot in any of the video of them where he's running the full set, I know he did quite a few times, but I got a lot of vid to weed through (and all of similar quality) -- if I find more, I'll throw it up here. And ~one~ of these days I'll try to get 'em all mic'd decent and make a good sound clip... someday. ...hopefully!
