Default New Paiste ride cymbal

I'm happy with the cymbal set-up that I have in terms of the amount of crashes, splashes etc., but it's my long term plan to upgrade them to high-end cymbals. It started today. I have purchased this baby:

It is a Paiste SoundFormula Reflector 20" power ride, I bought it off a Dutch e-bay look-a-like for 130 euros, to replace my Paiste 302 20" ride cymbal. Apart from a small scratch in the glossy finish (no crack or dent) and somewhat worn logo's it is in mint condition. I have always liked the sound of the 302, it's a very decent ride cymbal, but the sound formula is just awesome! Such an amazingly clean sound. It's also more versatile than the 302.
I don't think I am going to get rid of the 302 just yet, I might keep it as a more subtle ride. And it's nice having cymbals that are not in production anymore. Might be worth something one day... And it feels odd to get rid of the ride cymbal that I have owned and played for more than 7 years.

That's quite an upgrade! Sound Formulas are wonderful sounding. Congrats!

I've been looking for that. Only one I could find had a sound edge bottom and the guy selling it asked way too much for it. I do have a 16" power crash and a 16" thin china from the same series, and an 18" full crash from the other sound formula series with a more rectangular logo. They are wonderful!

Thanks for the compliments everyone :)
