Of course, I've never seen a porn flick myself but I can imagine that the repetitive relentlessness of the groove could suit....

:D

For the the drum track I'm mainly using the overhead channels, heavily compressed, with just a tiny bit of close mics tucked in underneath.

As usual the kit is the Pearl Reference.

Recorded the drums in my studio and then just added the other instruments myself. I'm using Cubase.

Bass: Trilogy
Strings: Atmosphere
Piano: Bardstown Audio - Bosendorfer Grand Imperial

Drum overheads squashed to death with LA-2A Compressor.
Delay on drums: PSP 606
Room on whole mix: UA Pate 140

But, what kind of porn do you watch? It must be dark and demented stuff. Whips and chains and stuff. Probably masks with rubber balls in the mouth like Pulp Fiction.
