Are those light-up SM57s? I've never seen that before.

It looks you had a lot of fun. How did the kit sound btw? I know I've had gigs where the kit sounded horrible

I think it's just tape that's catching the light.

I'm pretty sure that kit was like playing heaven to him, since the gear he's used to playing is pretty beat up. It's nearly impossible to get new, good drum gear in Cuba due to the embargo. Although I think that's changed a little now that Castro has stepped down. Or that's what I think I heard...

Hi good to see you back online. Looks like a good show, yeah it does suck about the goods embargo. I guess it makes you think really, you always see about the UN banning the export of goods to various countries on political grounds but of course it' not the politicians that ever suffer. It's the people on the street who can't buy the simplest of commodities.

Anyway sorry for my lecture looks like a good show, sounds like you're doing well over there. I couldn't get onto your myspace though.

Hey Leo,

fantastic quality pictures and you can feel the energy at your gig. Your band mates are really into their stuff and I'm sure you put on a great show. Congratulations.

Note to DW members, I did get onto Leo's Myspace page and I can assure you his playing is quite unbelievably superb. Amongst the very best metal playing I've ever heard. Not the usual boring "beat the crap out of the kit" stuff with endless concentration on BPM but hard driving rock with great feel & passion. Wonderful kick & tom work. I'm in awe of his achievements in a challenging environment. Huge respect.

I second that. I went onto the Myspace. I'm not normally a fan of metal music, but I really felt the groove in his playing.

Keep on rocking, brother!
