Very nice indeed, although it looks like it could use a little bit of cleaning. Looking forward to the recordings! Enjoy your new ride.

Ooh, and I was just looking at the 22" model a day or two ago. You MUST get some recordings of that, stat.. I'd love to hear how the 20" sounds.

Love this ride! I have one myself and I really think it's one of the best rides out there, despite being from the modestly priced AA series. It's a sleeper for sure! Enjoy it.

And one more time this sentence fits so well: The most honest sound a cymbal can give.
...haha, and you call me a bastard. ;-D
Great choice mate, I thought about getting one Raw Ride (with rivets but then I saw/heard the Mel Lewis)
Is this baby rather thin or thick? And how much is the weight?

again a wow from me...riding and crashing must be so pleasing.

It is truly very, very nice. I don't think I could be any happier!

It is quite thin, it weighs 1848 grams, I couldn't believe how light the package was!

It is very very nice for using it as a crash\ride. Lovely for up-tempo improvisation-kind of jazz!

I had to pay $165, which is a great price, I think. It was used, but no more than I would use it in day, and the new price for it new (list) in Norway ( I bought it from CymbalCellar ) is roughly $500-600 (!!!)

If you go to the Sabian website, they have an ''interactive cymbal selector.
You can put the cymbals next to each other, and see if you like this one, or the other better. I would go for mine, any day!

www.cymbalsonly.com also has samples of this model, of THE cymbal that you would buy. It's one of Tony's favorite Sabian rides I believe.

The same goes for the cymbals @ cymbalcellar. Cymbalcellar also has a lot of pictures of each cymbal! I haven't cruised cymbals only much, so I do not know if Tony takes a lot of pics or not. But I am very happy with the service at cymbal cellar...

I am trying to play jazz. I started playing jazz about 8 months ago, and I am ''in love''.

Holy...!!! I didn`t know that it has actually such a character.
I always found it beautiful sounding...but I could never say that it sounds that cool.

Wow, short sustain, great stick definition!!

PS: Sound quality is not bad!

It is absolutly awesome in up-tempo jazz. I used it when I had a jam with one of my bass-player-friends,
and when he played a walking-bass line, it was so perfect.

Karl: The stick-definition is great. I did not believe how great this ride was before I got it. And it plays very well. Maybe I can get some studio time, where I can record a playalong tune soon.
