Default My 7 piece kit

I got a new Mapex M-Birch in sweet Black Forest Cherry for Christmas, and a Sabian AAX cymbal set. Since then I have added more and more. It consists of:
22x18 bass drum
8x8 rack tom
10x8 rack tom
12x9 rack tom
14x14 floor tom
16x16 floor tom
14x5.5 snare drum

16" Sabian stage crash
17" Sabian dark crash
20" Sabian stage ride
14" Sabian stage hats

Heads are remo because I cannot yet fund some Evans, but I have an EMAD on the bass batter.
Big Dog E002 double pedal
Sticks of choice are Vater Fusion Wood Tip

I'll post pics shortly, I need to resize them to upload. Any comments welcome!

One of my favorite drummers, Dennis Leeflang uses Big Dog gear, and I see that more and more drummers are using their "drum stuff" as the company likes to call it. I've always wanted know what their gear is like. Could you tell us more about the pedal?

I am a big fan of the AAX line. The stage pack was a good investment and the crash is perfect. I tried out a tama power glide double pedal and it felt good but for under half the price and double chain I had to pick Big Dog. It works great and feels light and sturdy.

Not too shabby. The tom and bass arrangement closely resembles what I would have for my ideal kit.

the boy probably still has small feet, so he has more than enough space on the pedal ;-)

Nice kit, I wish I had a kit like that when I was your age!

I never heard of Big Dog pedals, are they any good?

Kellycurrie - Ive changed that since then, these pics are from the day I bought my pedal and the Emad, I was just experimenting.

frank0072 - Ive got size 9 feet, those pics make me look younger!

Big_Philly - Big Dog drum stuff make hardware, stands, thrones, pedals etc. I thought that they were fantastic, double chain, extremely heavy duty and fast. And for half the price of some of the bigger brands i got good bang for my buck. I thought they were just as good as the Iron Cobras.

I'll be getting a new snare soon, probably a Black Panther Hammered Brass 14x5.5, I'll put up some pics with any new gear that I've got after Christmas.

On that same train of thought, I know for a fact that the legs on the m birch hh stand rotate, So Piney, you could definitely move those legs and get that pedal in a more easily accessible position.

Nice kit, brah!

Personally, I'm a big fan of Mapex Kits (particularly the Pro M line), and I dig the finish you got on the kit, works well. Great choice of bronzers too, mate. Keep on playin man!

Oh, and you've got rather large feet for such a little man *wink*

Good for you! Can't go wrong with Mapex. Just incase you didn't know this - you can rotate the HH Stand's legs so that the left BD slave pedal doesn't need to be up and under a leg of the HH stand.
