It will most likely be a marching drum head. Or... http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...ead?sku=442834

How do the people who own all those huge ludwig sets with the massive bass drum get their drums? I have a ZEP set and I'm planning on changing the batter head only.

I've bought all my 26" and 28" heads thru Guitar Center. Remo makes Ambassador and Emperor in coated white, Controlled Sound, Powerstroke3, Powerstroke4 and Pinstripe also in coated white.

Are you talking drums now or heads. Drums I guess come from any number of places and large drum heads since they are not run of the mill I guess have to ordered like the two I showed you.

Here is a great combination for 26" bass drums.
Batter: Remo Coated Powerstroke 3 (Part #: P3-1126-C2) Resonant: Remo Smooth White Powerstroke 3 w/out stripes (P3-1226-C1) White, muffled, and very versatile. Nice balance of boom and punch. |

This is what I use...
Aquarian Superkick II with a Powerstroke 3 on the front. Nothing inside and it sounds killer! |

Yes, that's what I do with my 24" bass drum. I use Evans clear eq4 batter, and and eq3 coated reso. Sounds nice and fat.

That's exactly how I run my 18"x24" DW bass drum (keller shell)
