3500 Euro is equal to $5,345 Canadian dollars. Overpriced!

3500 Euro is equal to $4,756 US dollars. Overpriced!

I could build 3 or 4 of those for that price.

Keep in mind, it is DW and you pay superinflated prices even for used sets! but yes, you could build 3-4 for that

I think more the price issue is that the seller is in France. We U.S. guys know U.S. prices. That's a Buddy Rich kit (basically), and I saw one a few weeks ago "gently used" at Guitar Center for $2499. One on eBay sold for $1999 not so long ago.

He said it was in a brand new state.Perhaps he just played on it only a couple of times and it is like right out of the box. ..

That's right !! And I said that the price is debatable, and payment by monthly instalments accepted. So... it is a DW you know ! Custom made in September of 2005.

Great.. it's a DW... 4 drums for a grand each... woohoo! Not to mention it's your only post here. God I'd build one beautiful kit for that kind of money. Might not be quite a Bozzio setup but it'd be more than 4 drums... lol

Spendy! That was more than my ironwood set, which is quite a bit more exotic (agreed, I have smaller drum sizes and I had to buy rims, heads and mounts).

If I were going to spend $1,000 per shell, I'd want something more exotic than a mass-produced plywood kit, like a custom ply kit or something with labor-intensive non-ply construction. I'm sure it's a great kit and all, but for that kind of money, I'd need something more than just a top-of-the-line ply set.

Price is negotiable (or best offer) and he will take payments. I'm interested in just how much does that kit sell for in France? Shipping's gotta be a bear of a price.

No, I have a 70's six ply maple wmp Ludwig kit, (just like the one Buddy once used) that sounds better than DW's, and quite a bit cheaper. While we're on the subject I was at GC again today, they had a beautiful DW kit set up right in the middle of the store. I borrowed a drum stick and had a couple wacks on the toms...... well the kick sounded good anyway.

Well it may be in good state, but it's still a used set, I reckon it will be worth between 1/2 and 2/3 of the retail price. I think you should be able to get 2300 for it.

Antes,
