Default CB Kit with Nice Cymbals

Hi everybody,

I've been playing for just a little over a year now and my kit has grown a lot in that short amount of time. The 8 and 10 inch toms are Titan brand, while the rest of the kit is CB. The tom heads are Coated Ambassadors, snare is Evans G1, and bass I think is a Powerstroke 3. Here's the specs:

8, 10, 12, 13, 16 inch toms
14 inch snare
20 inch bass w/ Gibraltar Avenger Double Pedal

Now, I play guitar as well and we practice at my house so our drummer leaves his cymbals set up here. All the Paistes are his. From left to right we have:

14" Saluda Mist X Dark Rock hats
16" brass cymbal that came with my kit, now used as a bastard china thing. (Will soon be replaced by a Saluda china)
8" Saluda Hybrid-x Mini-China
16" Paiste Innovations Heavy Crash
9" Stagg Myra Splash
10" Paiste Signature Splash
14" Saluda Hybrid-x Medium Crash
21" (I think) Paiste Signature Dry Heavy Ride

And a few notes: The red spot on the bass drum is from our drummer's maple beaters. Also, as you can see, I just put new heads on (for the first time!) but the 12" ones were out of stock. So without further adeu, here's the pics:

Pretty nice. The cymbals look good and the configuration is nice but that "china" looks rubbish. Take that down, I say...

Very nice, im guessing you/the drummer is british, and on a bit of a budget ~ CB being a british make (i think)

Looks like a Metal/Rock kit, thats the way!

I don't know if CB is British or not, but we certainly aren't :). We're in northern California. And being 18 and 19, definitely on a budget as well.

Thanks for your comments.

aah right
ive seen alot of CB kits here, and assumed they were british

Im doing the same sorta thing with my kit, its a budget kit but ive bought extra toms and stuff from the same company so they match

Still, looks awsome and bet it sounds great

what on earth is that trashy/china~ish cymbal? :| is it the stock cymbal that came with it?

edit~
Ahh right didnt see it in your first post
those stock cymbals dont last long at all :|

Cool set up with the toms. Looks very fluent.

I would abuse that cymbal like no other. Then see what it sounds like!

Your tom arrangement is very interesting. It looks like you could do some pretty cool fills with that setup. Really like those cymbals, too.

Man, I have the same CB kit in black, but I play a 4 piece.

I love it, and I love your kit set up.

comfy looking set-up -- shows how much you can do on a budget. I like your head choice and the set up looks pretty much ideal. Kudos.

that look seriously comfy to play. It would look the nuts if you could get that final tom head (coated). My friend has a CB and he's tuned it and it does actually sound pretty good. How does yours sound?

Tom

Woah - that line of rack toms looks amazing!

Replace that clear head and it will look great, nice and uniform... depending on how different the other kits lug design were - you could pull the wrap off them, stain them and have a quite nice looking kit on your hands! Replace the reso of the bass and voila! Custom unbadged drum kit!

I like how the rack toms just... curve? around the snare drum. Kinda reminds me like a snake snugging up next to something.
