Right now I don't have any pics but I'm hoping I can get a new battery charger for my camera. Any way here's a description of the current set up. Drums: Yamaha Stage Custom Advantage in Natural Gloss 8x7" Tom 10x8" Tom 12x9" Tom 14x12" Tom 22x17" Bass 13x7" Ddrum Maple Snare Currently the heads are Aquarain Performer II's batter and Evan G1 resonants on Toms, Superkick II and Regulator on Bass and Evans Dry and a Remo Weatherking snare side on the snare (the sanre was bought with those heads on). Eventually I will change everything over to Aquarian. Cymbals: 14" Sabian AA Rock Hi-Hats 18" Sabian AAX Dark Crash 18" Sabian XS Medium-Thin Crash 18" Sabain Paragon Crash 21" Sabian AA Rock Ride 12" Wuhan China 18' Wuhan China My band's page is www.myspace.com/ozzmotiarr The drums in the recording aren't mine, they were the one we had to use for the battle of the bands. |

hey welcome to the forum. PRETTY good playing man. I'm just not a fan of that kind of screaming, maybe even a little to hardcore for me. lately i've been listening to more metal then I used to. Currently into bands like killswitch engage, between the buried and me, as i lay dying, and The Human Abstract. check some of those out.

I used to have evans EC2's on them but I went with the Performer II's and I got a lot more useable tones out of the drums, tuning both sets of heads equally open... even though they're the smaller "fusion" toms the 12 and 14 have some decent depth for heavy tribal fills and such. And the kick is muffling free except for the muffling on the Superkick II and Regulator heads. It's deep and boomy and with the addition of the slug beaters, the kick has more low end coming through and less of a click or slap sound that I had with the DW beaters.
The snare has a really nice crack. It cuts through pretty damn well and at the venue we last played at the snare had dual mics on it, one on top, on underneath and in that venue the crack and the true depth of the snare really came though. I got a lot of complements. |
