Default Help me choose my heads!

Hey, after some new heads okay, I run:
12" and 14" toms and a 14" Snare with a 20" Bass.

Don't need heads for snare, recently replaced. But new heads for toms and bass would be great at the moment.

To give you an idea of what I play my styles kinda fit in with Billy Talent, Papa Roach, Nickleback, but also with The Raconteurs.

Any suggestions would be great (but not too expensive please!)

Edit - Also I would prefer remo or evans please! ;p

Thanks everyone x

Because you didnt give a specific sound you are looking for i would go with the general heads (which is not necassarily worse than the others) such as Evans G2's or Remo Ambassodors.

EC2's and pinstipes sound the best on "not-so-top-quality" drums like CB's.

pinstripes or possibly hydraulics would be a good sound...I would get a 2 ply head- makes the drums sound "fat" as you said. It is a question of clear or coated...which would you prefer?

Just a note aswell, I wanna get some new bass heads, something nice and crisp. With a quick pop, loud but not too ringy. Basically, quick loud pop, least ring as possible. What do people suggest?

For your bass, I'd throw an Aquarian Super Kick 2 on there. But if you want to keep it uniform with evans, get the EMAD. I have both : )

I would think so, I have the pinstripes, they haven't got lots of ring, but if I would go back time, I would get the EC'2. Remo heads have sometimes been flawed, not easy to tune and such, but I've never had that problem with Evans, I'd recommend the EC'2.

For your bassdrum I'd say Remo Powersonic. They give a really fat and heavy sound, and you don't need any extra internal damping.

I played the Powersonic at my local drum shop and it sounded pretty good, but looked really really cheap with the clip on muffling system. And it still doesnt sound better than the Emad or Super Kick 2 IMO.

I've never played the EC2 coated, but i have a 10 and 16 clear and i like 'em.
