Default My Kit...

...okay so its nothing flashy!!! It was bought for me as my first kit and in true style obviously isnt the best kit ever, but its one of the best starter kits i like to think. Its got a good solid punch and its tuning capacity is really kool. I have added to it to make it my own and have switched a few things around, I've added a cowbell (Stagg) and Tambourine (Also Stagg) a ride and a new crash (Both Sabian Solars, I find these to have a great sound) I have also recently bought a Mapex M Series 14" snare (not in the picture yet) that has a really kool sound to it. Although I will definately upgrade at some point soon im happy with the way it is at the moment, and comments are welcome but please , no beginner kit slagging off. Many thanks, Ad x

I mean it already sounds really kool at the moment, Im really happy with where i've gotten it, my floor tom sounds so great and my bass is just as I want it. I've changed from stock heads on some but cant afford to buy new heads again yet, but that will be my next investment I think

the classic 4 piece set up. hey it might be a starter kit but the kit doesn't make the drummer

Looks like a great way to start. I agree with the above poster; new heads should probably be your next step. Pre-muffled heads if you don't like to worry about tuning, non-muffled if you do. ;)

Hey man, I play the exact same kit, and you're right the stock tom heads do sound great for stock, but that bass has amazing sound if you get a new head on it... trust me.

I can't tell what brand tamborine you have, I run a rhythm tech sometimes. Nice touch.

I've got a stagg latin percussion half moon tambourine and just the little boom arm from my cymbal stand, had some trouble with that cuz when i hit it or the cymbal on that stand the other would rattle for a while and it kinda got annoying but then i played around with it and moved the cymbal away from it a bit and its kool now. I've changed heads on most of the drums now but i will change the bass next i think yeah
