Cool, but kinda looks like a bowling bowl....but that is good. My all time favorite finish is the original Ludwig Mod Orange.

Wow, what a neat collection of shells. The orange flame is striking; I also like the rain effets.

So you're going to get your own lugs and hoops and throw-off and DIY?

eh, I don't know.... The acrylic glitter is quite a bit brighter than yours. I like your color a lot. Maybe a black glass glitter, or silver... something that's similar but not red. It's just too hard to get them similar.

O.k. maybe your right, but here's a sunlite picture looks more like it,
and if not red sparkle maybe one of these other colors.

thats very cool, i was searching for acrylic shells and i couldnt find them but thanks alot.

My very first build is going to be 4 8x2 mesh pads, either in clear or in grape. im looking to install battery powered lights in them. it will make my drums look really fly from a far.

thanks for the link.

Thats pretty nice and much cheaper than I would have thought. Are you getting them pre-drilled or no holes?? So all in all if you buy a 10 lug pre drilled shell for $130 how much do you think it would cost total after the lugs and snare throw off? I may look into that as well although I have never heard an acrylic snare in person. I bet they are loud as hell.

I do all the drilling myself.....I am currently building my own router table, so I can do edges.

To build your snare breaks down like this.....
lugs.... $2-5 each
strainer...$20-70 depending on style, model
Hoops...$20-50 flanged or die-cast
tension rods....$.25 each
butt.....$2
