Maybe a fake Rolex from 42nd street... lol

The pads change sampls for almost every song and/or band.

With my rock band, Mad Yellow Sun, I have them off for about 80% of the show.
I use them as extra toms in one song, and extra percussion for others (tambourines, cabasas, shakers, ect)

For my DJ kit I use them for electronic 80's toms, percussion items, explosions, glass breaking, snares, hi hats, bas drums, booms, bangs, trash cans, just about anything my little Alesis D4 has...lol
The DJ gigs are fun because I just mount all 3 pads on a rack and stand up an play. I have a snare off to one side, 2 sets of hats and a tone of Factory Metal Percussion gear...

Oh, and that throne... I found it years ago in the back of a music store I was working at. No brand or anything, and I LOVE it!!! It has a back to it, but I took it off so I can lean really far back when tossig sticks or over dramatizing single stroke rolls, lol.

Peace makes one just like it, so I know I'm covered when I need to replace it.

My In-ear monitors are wired right to the bottem of it, so I just have to reach under my butt when I need to turn the volume up or down.

I really quite enjoy your drumming, particularly the song im listening to now, Black Magic Marker.

It's great, hard and heavy rock, very much like that pumped out by Kyuss and some other Stoner Rock bands.

I love your drumming, very suiting to the bands sound! And a great kit, those FX rings, despite me not liking gimmicky thinkgs liek that very often, do look pretty damn cool, and i may just get a set of them in the immediate future for my kit!

Black Magic Marker is a good tune, just wait till Mad Yellow Sun's album is done later this year...

I've started to experiment with two short rack segments instead of one long one across the kick. I'm really enjoying it. That was a great idea.

I like those FX rings too, but would like to see some blue ones.

For those new Ddrum masterpeices? So would we!

I was thinking about setting up a snare drum with those, installing them around the throw off and but piece... with a hack saw.

Ya, I looked at the site in Masonni's sig but they only have a few colors, but they don't have blue. I think the blue ones would look so purdy on my new kit. hahah! They remind me of a certain Lego series they put out when I was a kid. Like the future Blaktrons when they went to white/green suits instead of black, with luminescent visors and accessories.

Masonni - What made you choose to put your rack tom on a snare stand instead of the rack? Is it because it's too heavy? I'm just curious. Right now I've got my 13" on the rack (very similar to your setup), but plan on putting a 10 and 12 there when my new kit comes in.

I stuck the Rack Tom on a stand for a few reasons. 1, I like the way it looks. 2, It's just too damn heavy for anything else. And 3, because a snare stand is smaller and easyer to lug around than a bigger tom stand.

My other Kit has a 12" tom that is mounted on a tom stand.

Dude, you should totaly email Kevin from Eliptical FX and request Blue rings! Maybe he will make them for you? I just got a set of Yellow ones to add to the toms on my kit. Mixed with the Orange they look killer!!!

Well I did just that, and within an hour or so Kevin got back to me! That was nice. He's gonna send me a little sample of the blue material to see how I like it. Can't wait!
