Nice sets, do you also have two cymbals sets, or do you switch the cymbals from one kit to the other?

Nice! Who plays the cello/upright bass? I've always wanted to learn the cello/upright bass.

They are completely different. I own the violin and can make my way around a viola, but cellos and bases are just evil. They don't translate very well from one to the other. I personally recommend the bass, though. It's not too difficult to get started and if yo have a vehicle to support it, and it's one of my favorite things to see someone play. Cellos are pretty useless unless you're in symphony form.

A good frined of mine plays the upright bass as well as electric bass. If you guys take a look at my page here at Drummerworld ( John Brainard) you will see what the DW set is all about. Right now no driver's seat pictures yet...and the Radias that are with the DWs are different than my Zildjian set up I have with the Remos

the triple floor toms are great...they all have legs. This is case anyone is unsure is the Drumset I won last year in the Terry Bozzio contest. I have not gigged with it ( yet) and have been babying it basically....but to me there is no reason to take a chance messing up a finish or any of the hardware just to show off...but I really want to play it at the right time...and really want to record with it. I was in shock fo a month when I won it....

wow, bro. i understand what all the fuss is about. that DW is NICE! but i really think the mastertouches are classy drums. i've always liked remo drums and i'm so mad i can't find any here in america. if i wanted to, i could get a dw, but i really want a remo kit. the new gold crowns. anyway, you're a lucky dude.

PEACE

Those heads ( on the Remo kit I assume) are actually Renasiance series which I really liked at the time. Not sure if they even still make them. Since that pic though I have had two arms strip out on the Remo so I am playing a 4 piece till I replace hardware ( probably with Gibralter the remo stuff is no longer available) and I have Evans head on the two toms top and bottom. One big drawback with the Remo kit is the hardware is just no longer around anymore and did wear out over time.

You won that DW kit with three flour toms, three rack toms, two bass drums, and several side drums for FREE? For FREE?

That's incredible.

Flour or ground corn, it's a great looking kit, no matter how he got it!

Haha yeah it's a beauty. I'm just amazed that it was won in a contest. It's one thing to win $1,000, but this is like winning an entire bank!

Not to sound like a no it all or rude or anything, but for all you's calling the cello lookin thing a upright base, are just plain wrong lol, the correct name of an 'upright bass' is a double bass :), just for future reference :).

BTW omg!!!! that is an amazing kit!!! :O I want one lol.... Put it in your will that i get that :) jokes.

I love the finish man, and i love the setups, very stylish

Um...well let's say when you win something like that it is not completely free. Gift taxes and all. However what I paid in those is about what it would cost for a 5- 6 piece DW kit.It is an amazing set up though and I have spent alot of time making it my own by getting used to a large kit again ( I played a large kit as a teen).

It does have a 20 and 22 bass drum as noted.
