Discography Suggestion

We all love this great site, it provides many information and help. I have a suggestion. It's a hard job to do but it would be very useful if we all co-operate and help mr.Bernhard Castiglioni to add a Discography section to every artist's profile. I 've find myself countless times searching here and there on the web for albums in which drummers i "met" in drummerworld play.
This is not an easy job to do, but we can give it a try I think. We could list here the discography we find to help mr.Bernhard Castiglioni.

I could find the discographies of some drummers. Just give me a couple days and I'll have a few artists... I have nothing better to do from 9-12 pm

the problem with this is that unless you have the artist's version of their discography, it's bound to be incorrect and incomplete. i would suggest only posting a discography that you get directly from the artist. such as gadd's web site for example.

the other problem is that even with the artist's version, they are also usually incomplete in the case where they don't specify specific tracks. Here's what Gadd has for Aja:

Now, we all know he didn't play on every track.

So, if you want this done right and useful to a drummer....you'd need to have someone break Aja down into tracks....Same goes for every other album that has multiple drummers playing on it.

I started working for Dennis Chmbers Discography. I found everything in his site but... I can't copy the text, it's impossible, so I started writing it from the begining in a text file.. It will take some time.

I think this is a good idea, but very very difficult and will take up much space. We are talking about loads of details and thousands upon thousands of albums. And as the Aja example shows, we aren't simply talking about albums, we're talking about individual tracks. Aja alone has Ed Greene, Rick Marotta, Bernard Purdie, Steve Gadd, Paul Humphrey and Jim Keltner.

We are not going to list each song in which they play.. this is very difficult. Let's call the section" The drummer appears here:" and not "Discography" to be more accurate. I still working in Dennis Chambers...there are lots of albums which are not mentioned even in his own site so I m doing a research in allmusic. Dennis has played in over 100 albums and I don't know where this ends.
