Firstly i'd like to say hello as im new here. Im not actually a drummer, well i used to be untill i made the switch to bass guitar. However i still play from time to time. Anyways, the point of this thread. My boss has asked me to sell an old kit he has. And with him knowing nothing about the kit ( and i havent physicaly seen the kit) i wonder if anyone from here could help me identifiy them and possible value them. All i know is they are an old Sonor kit. Here are some pics, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Nick. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'll buy them! :p
They look fanastic, offset lugs, attractive finish and a rare find!

They may go onto ebay.
Im gonna give them a clean up, put new heads on etc and might sell them, or just put them in my studio. |

Bit of polish on the hardware, new skins and you will have a perfect little jazz type kit :)

I have no real need for them really tho. I still got my old Pearl kit, so this will just be stored away for another decade gathering dust.

a practice kit or gigging kit then? keeping them both, you could leave one set up all the time and never have to strip it down for gigs, think of all the time it would save :-) or keep it for a possible nick junior, save the little bugger from messing up your kit ;-)

They are nice looking and built very solid. Vintage kits grab quite a buck on ebay and Sonor's are especially popular. Have a look through their site and you can gat a fairly good idea of what other kits from that time period go for.

is that a six lug bass drum? cant tell from the pics... I dont know if that was normal for drums of that era, but that seems a few lugs too little for a kick -- regardless of the era.
