Default wat drum rack should i get?

im going to be mounting 3 toms on the top and 2 floor toms (not the ones with legs one that hook on to stands)
i have 3 crashes, 1 ride, and 2 splashes
atm i mount 1 crash on the little hole where i mount 2 of my stands on my bassdrum (the hole where u can put in the little boom extension)
i mount 1 splash by attaching it with a clamp to a crash stand and the other one ontop of one of my crashes.....
wats the cheapest (but still sturdy) rack that i can buy? and the price plx? :D

It'd be better for yourself if you do price research on your own - it's how you learn about where to shop and what you get for the money. Use google to search for the model number, check ebay, check any big online stores - massmusic.net, etc and see what sort of price you get.

As far as the type of rack, I'd second getting the pearl stuff, it's reasonably priced, high quality and heavy duty. If you wanty alternatives to look at the 2 other main players for racks are PDP and gibraltar.

Good luck

I agree with the other posts. The 503 (straight bars) or 503c (curved bars) are the best rack in my opinion. I bought one last year for my 7 piece kit and love it. You have so many mounting options and everything just looks cleaner and more compact. not to mention the headache of tearing down and setting up when you have stands etc.. The price last year was $299.99 at Guitar Center. whats the old saying?.... Once you go rack... you'll never go back!

Yeah I was too looking into which rack I should get. I was looking at the Pearl dr-503 rack and it looks pretty damn decent. I'll be putting my stage customs on there if I can. I can't find a Yamaha rack.

Yamaha make a rack but it's not very good. The Pearl is the way to go, it's what my RC's are mounted on!

Really? I have heard a few good things about the Yamaha ones. But the Pearl looks good too.

I use a Pearl Rack, and I can see no reason to use any other rack. Despite people talking about how round tubing doesn't slip if you use memory locks, I just am more at ease with square tubing that Pearl offers. The Pearl is very high quality, and if you buy it, you will like it.

I Agree, I use a pearl rack and it's perfect. Definately wouldn't go anywhere else EG a leaning Tama rack. It's opinion but Pearl is definately worth looking out for!

Good luck with the hunt.

Ive got a question. Is there any huge differences between the Pearl 503 curved edges, and the 503 straight edges? The curved is only $50 dollars more than the straight edged one, but im just wondering if theres any big difference between the 2.

it just makes for an easier set-up and gives a few more options, i just bought the curved one and love it, but honestly, i could do without the curves, but i will admit, it is a lot more comfortable with them
