Thanks Michigan for the mention. Im just trying to represent the senior citizen or "old school" lads. I try my best to burn thru the google and website questions and offer aid where i can. I will be on a limited amount, except for what I can sneak in at work now, since my trusty Dell crashed last nite. I will say however the blue glow makes a nice nite light.

hahaha. maybe one day aquarian will start sending us free stuff for our cause.

for the most part, everyone on here is pretty helpful to everyone. for the most part.

there's obviously a wealth of knowledge that the "senior consultant"s possess, and i love

reading their posts, but i also like hearing from everyone else too... all in all everyone is

nice... in their own way. mfb seems to be a good guy, from personal experience.

I think I have to add in Tim Waterson. I'm surprised at how few people have mentioned him. He's one of the few pro drummers that come on here, and he comes on here fairly consistently to give tips on drumming and to compliment others, and I havent seen a harsh word come out of him.

There are others I would like to add to my list, such as Drummer Karl and Aahz, but most people have the guys that I forgot to list (sorry) covered. Just thought that Tim Waterson needed a few more props.

I think top cat is hilarious.... I like jazzgregg's brutal conviction, and finn's knowledge and diplomacy. There are others, but writing has given me a creepy, sort of gay feeling. Not that there's anything wrong with that.... It's just not for me....

I don't know if it was called the same name worldwide, but we used to have a show called Romper Room and Miss Helena used to look through her "magic mirror" at the end of the show to see who she could see sitting at home watching. I remember having a huge tantrum coz I hid from her and she still saw me!

Are you referring to me? I've been waiting to get older so it works to my advantage, instead of when I was like 21 and people thought I was 12

finnhiggins, cause hes an awesome drummer. I will never forget the porn music...
jazzgreg, cause he's an art freak like me...
Karl, for his overall nice attitude and amzing jazz skills.
Stu, cause he's the man...

And everybody else that wasnt mentioned by anybody else. Cause we all know that if it was just the above 4, we wouldnt have much of a forum.

I'm rather new here, but I my short time I have found that there are several members who consistently give good-well though out advice, positive reinforcement, support, and who are able to do it without any attitude.

Advice is useless if it comes off as arrogant of if the person asking the question is made to feel as if its a "newbie," or silly question, and some folks here are really good at avoiding that, even when the questions are very basic, or from drummers who may have just gotten their first kit that very day.

The best posters are the ones who have the ability to make everyone here feel welcome and comfortable enough to ask any question. I think everyone here pretty much knows who those guys and girls are, so I don't think I need to name names, but I do really appreciate the positive influences around here.

If Im not mistaken that show was the masters thesis of a female teacher from Hood College in Baltimore, where the original lady was MIss Nancy. Her thesis was liked so much by the local TV folks that they turned it into a show. Same with Bill Cosbys, Cosbys kids which I think was his Doctoral presentation for his PHd in education.

Yeah thats pretty much what made me post in the first place. I have been playing for a good few years and browsed the site and forums for 6 months before joining in on the forum. And I knew that I could ask any question and not feel like an idiot!

I dont really post much in the way of helping people although if a topic comes up and I feel I can add to it I do. I am still soaking up info that I should have been learning from the start of my drumming days!

So...you are all my favourite members.

Okay, staying slightly off-topic - Did the US version of Romper Room have Mr Dooby, the bee? They used to play a game with balloons that went "Mr Dooby, how do you do, we're going to play a game with you,we'll let you buzz, we'll let you fly...*something something* sailing by"? and they'd let the balloons go (untied) and they'd go flying around the room.

This thread is somewhat interesting, in terms of something i yet have to figure out.

I'm urged to say that this thread somewhat isn't a good thing for this forum but as i read all the reply's, it's really helping to build the atmosphere. I yet noticed that someone wasn't mentionned up till now who was the first one that came into my mind when i read the thread title. And that person is Raymond_Bloom. For some reason i really like seeing posts of him in a forum. As for other people, i think everyone that doesn't makes a mess of this forum is 'my favourite member' (i know i'm guilty myself of posting pointless stuff -> There for i decided to just read most of the time rather than interact for now on) And for other respected members in my opinion goes: The more time you spend in technique section, the more i appreciate you =)

I don't have a favourite, but Jeff Almeyda and Finn have helped me a lot. Very helpful. Fooleeze, Karl, MFB, britt, Bermuda, Bernhard, StickTrick & jazzgregg are also really great contributors, and very helpful. This is just a short list, though.
