Hey Tim--

Looks like some very valuable stuff there. I think I'm beginning to see what you're doing with the swivel approach... you've recognized that the foot makes this motion naturally and you've consolidated it into a concrete technique.

I'm going to be looking into picking up your DVD when it comes out...

Cheers.

My man Tim!!

Guys, I know Tim and have hung out and jammed with him. What he's achieved with his pedal work is just amazing!!

He has the most relaxed technique while doing this stuff. It's sick. He'll be able to play that fast when he's 70!!!

Best of luck Tim and I'll get my copy as soon as I can.

Peace

I was doing the same thing! The screen would start blacking out on something he was saying and I'd think "wait, no, go back"

Your dvd looks great!

The bassdrum technique that Hellhammer uses, is that something like the heel/toe? Because he uses the whole foot for the first beat, and for the second he raises the back of his foot. He calls it "upstroke/downstroke", but he says it's not heel/toe. Are you using this technique as well?

I have NOT seen any close ups of his feet but they way he described it was Constant release which starts as a heel to FULL stroke.
And YES I explain these with close ups on the new dvd.

I just checked out the two teasers. I am partial to how he moves his foot on the pedal ( twisting, and bouncing from left to right ) since I go crazy like this with my foot. I love the feeling of having my foot dancing all over the footboard ( My Vruk lets me do this ). Man - it just feels wonderful.

Jeez... Now you did it. I played double bass for a decade, decades ago and then dropped them because.. well... I was starting to get old and crotchety. After watching these teasers, I want to get a cowbell attachment for my dust collecting left bass drum pedal and start applying these techniques to funk-nasty latin rhythms. Oh boy! I can't wait now!!!

Righteous dude!!!

This is why I did the dvd to hopefully inspire and help drummers with their technique...
Thanks for the support

Hey Tim,

Would absolutely love it! Although, my feet are new at the double bass "schtick"... maybe you better watch out? (chuckle) Seriously though, sounds like it'd be a S.R.O. event!

Yes This DVd breaks down all the mysteries of by showing UP close that there are NO secrets....
I spent more time showing the techniques and how they can help drummers as opposed to showing off.............
PS the dvd is on sale for my birthday

Hey Tim,

In the trailer, i noticed your pedals and kit are on an angle. Is this part of your technique as well? If so, how much does this contribute to the technique. Do you discuss this as well in the video?

Thanks
