Now thats one nice looking kit right there. The finish is amazing. Blue and white is an amazing combo especially in a fade. Now you should get a matching car. haha

It really helped my tom setup. I am much more comfortable now, especially with the DW 9300 snare stand.

They look great. I'd love to hear a 20x20 bass. I have a 20x16 and love it, but I'd like to hear one.

Very nice custom set! The color isn't my cup of tea, but it is well done and striking and I can see why many others like it.

What do Pork Pies sound like? How do they compare to other custom drum sets?

Ironwood drum set at (http://www.drummerworld.com/forums/s...d.php?t=18719).

Pork Pies are very resonant, and they are made with a different number of plies depending on the size of the drum.
I can describe my kit as sounding very "fat". They are the best sounding maple customs I have ever played (or heard).

Sweeeeeeeeeet! I would bloody love a 20x20 bass. I like the finish, but I have always had a problem witht the badges. They could look nicer. Only a ninor problem though.

What a nice top-of-the-line set. I would like to see it set up with cymbals, etc.

CRAP!! How many drumsets are in that room?? And all some kind of blue (which I love!) No wonder you're poor.Do you have enough drums now?...

Wait... Nevermind. There's never enough. (Though Bozzio is approaching that point.)

Anyway, beautiful tubs, man. I'd love to hear them.

Tomodrum1, thanks for topping this post. I'd have missed it!

Hateplow, what gives? I just saw your kit for sale on ebay. Why are you selling it? I have looked at your kit on this website several times-I ordered a blue sparkle kit from Pork Pie.

Say it ain't so!

I almost had a trade for a new 6 piece exotic DW...but I bailed out like 10 minutes after I posted it my kit...couldn't go through with it.
Stay tuned for updated pics with a new setup and some new Paistes!
Were you the guy who ordered that monsterous kit with a gong drum?

So, do you think the DW sounds better than the Pork Pie? Not criticizing, by the way, just asking.

No gong drum for me. I actually ordered a five piece kit (1 tom up, 2 toms down) from Bill at Pork Pie. Only 14 more weeks to go. Sigh....

I don't think they sound any better, it was just an incredible opportunity.
A DW exotic is (another) dream kit of mine.
14 weeks, that sucks...looking forward to pics!
