Default Fly swatting; German or French grip?

There's been a heatwave here in New Zealand for the past few months and we are inundated with house flies.

My swat:kill ratio is best in French grip I find. I think the acceleration the fingers provide gives me the edge on flies, speed-wise!

(although German works great for mid-air interceptions).

What do you guys use?

You're aware that you need to use your brushes for that?

Haha, 'American grip', love it.

Of course! How could I forget that brushes were known as 'fly swatters'. Nice one.

(for now I think I will keep the fly guts stuck on the $1 plastic swatter than my $30 brushes though ;-) )
