Default Fun gig this weekend (pics and video inside)

The band I play drums in, The New River Drifters, are starting our fourth year as a band. During our time together, we used to play a little winery in downtown Elkin, NC, about once every couple of months. It was during that time that someone approached us saying that she liked our sound, and she was one of the folks in charge of restoring an old theater in the downtown area, which was literally two doors down from the winery. That was about two years ago. As time moved on, I kept in touch with the folks who wanted to book us, and well, long story short, we got to play the newly-restored Reeves theater. Tim O'Brien played the night before we did.

I think my wife got some more performance pics, but here's what I have at the moment. It was a lot of fun, and there were quite a few people who came up to the organizers and stated they wanted us to come back. We have some more cool stuff coming up this year (including competing at Merlefest 2018), so there's a lot to look forward to.

Here's a video (I hope it works!):

Great vocal harmonies in your band. Not too many cover bands touch those of the Eagles.

I agree, very nice band..

Btw. The space that is shown on the website of the band (with the view to the outside..), is that your normal rehearsal-room..?

Because must be pretty nice to have rehearsals like that..

Nice venue! As a gear fund you may consider charging $17.00 for a box of popcorn, seems to be the acceptable rate these days at theatres.

Is this is the pic you are talking about...

...then no, that was not a rehearsal room. As a matter of fact, it was a pretty interesting gig. We were booked to play at a corn maze up in the mountains. Instead of setting up outside, we were allowed to set up in the second floor of a barn. We put the PA system in the loft doors, and we sat in a circle and jammed for a few hours. It's was a great gig, and we will be back next year.

That room sounded nothing short of amazing though.
