Default cymbal sleeve diameter

Hi! I have old crash and ride cymbals I bought on ebay. they're just for practice/rehearsal. Unfortunately the diameter of the holes are too narrow for the sleeves in the practice rooms I'm using. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks :)

I have a conical grinding bit for my electric hand drill that looks like this. I've used it on several occasions to expand the holes in cymbals. Go slowly, shave a little off at a time.

Of course, Ive now altered cymbals approx. 50 years old forever, but hey!
