Default Axis A Longboard Double Pedals - Review and Performance

Hey everyone!
I recently switched to Axis longboards from Tama Iron Cobras. I've played the Iron Cobras for 12 years, and the transition is not as rough I though it would be. Anyway, this video gives a run down on what pedals I went with, if you guys/girls are curious.

Welcome to the club, I've been using them for almost 15 years and haven't looked back. I never had any issue with switching to longboards, but it was 15 years ago, so maybe I've forgotten what they were.

Hah! I played AXIS long boards for 12 years, now Im playing an IRON COBRA (and a DW 5000 HEEL-LESS).

AXIS is nice, but the price, and if you want to adjust the foot board height, no dice. I had AXIS factory shims, custom bottom plates, heated and tightened more than one UDS, tightened heel bering hinges, replaced main bearings, you name it, done it all with AXIS. In the end the IC's are easier to adjust/maintain and good for me, I adjust every once in awhile and love easy maintenance.

I came to the conclusion the IC feels more neutral under my feet, where the AXIS feels like an AXIS and never lets you forget it. Played an IC years ago tho the latest incarnation is very well put together and laid out, again it just feels more neutral than the AXIS Longs to me, and I don't miss the raised long boards. Part of the AXIS feel is their use of .25 bearings, I like the ride of the industry standard 608 bearings, that's what I have the most hrs playing on. I gave AXIS a good try, but always felt them, when I play the (new) IC's they don't never none do cross my mind.

I recently got some and absolutely love them. By far my new favourite pedals.

Awesome guys! Yeah the switch from Iron Cobras wasn't all that difficult. I've finally setup the Ekits to my old as sin Alesis DM4 module.

Did some heavy jammin' on them last night, and they definitely hit just as hard as my iron cobras.
