Default Diane by Cam. 1970's Camco

Hi drumheads,

Here's the song Diane that I recorded for Sony artist Cam a few months back.
Single was released yesterday, it is a response to Dolly Parton's Jolene.
This was written and produced by Cam, Tyler Johnson and Jeff Bhasker.

smarturl.it/Diane

For the recording I worked with producer/songwriter Tyler Johnson, Nick Lobel and the artist Cam. Also a guy named Paulie that works over at Blackbird in Nashville. The reference for the sound and style was "Go your own way" by Fleetwood Mac. Paulie brought in a 1970's maple Camco kit for the session, 22", 12", 14'', 16", and we used the Camco snare that came with it, a wooden snare. Tried out the black beauty and the supra phonic as well but ended up with the Camco. Being a Tama artist I can see how Tama bought Camco for the engineering, Tama having, in my opinion, fantastic solutions and always very inventive and stylistic engineering. Anyway, check out the song, think you might like it.

Peace
/Ulf Mickael Walle

Nice playing man. I once got to use an old Camco kit in a Toronto studio and it was the bomb. Been looking for one in big sizes ever since. Hard to find...
