Default Packing Service for Shipping Drums

Hi there,

I was hoping to get a fragile vintage drum set shipped from the USA to Europe. The owner does not want to pack the drums himself. Does any one know of any services or stores that would pack the set (nested) over there?

Cheers,

EM

UPS has a packing service. I have used them a few times when shipping kits out.

Thanks RickP, would they nest the drums within each other or box each drum separately? I'm presuming it would be expensive otherwise?

All of the major shippers have packing services.

Thanks GRUNTERSDAD!

OK also just wondering if any drums stores would pack, remove hardware, nest etc for shipping if the drums were dropped in?

I've a feeling the major shippers don't do this.

I've recently sent a 4 piece kit in three boxes from north east England to Spain using UPS. It took 3 days to get there. I packed it myself but in fairness it wasn't too difficult as I had the boxes and internal packing from the similiarly sized kit I'd just bought. It's a hassle I didn't want to get involved doing but it actually wasn't too difficult to do, could exploring what boxes AND internal packing a local drum shop have in stock be a possibility?
