Default Crap

I sliced the crap out of my finger.

But, the show must go on.

Yuck dude, that sucks. Coincidentally, I split the front of my index finger last night, so I feel your pain. "The show must go on" couldn't be more accurate haha.

Right on the joint too, nice aim.

I cut my finger really bad once at work once. I was locked in the building all alone, at night, and by the time I got to the hospital, they said too much time had elapsed to stitch it. If I had known that, I wouldn't have bothered going.

You have to immobilize that joint or it will take forever to heal. Captain Obvious right there.

This is great news actually because you always wanted to practice 2nd finger fulcrum on your left hand, right?

Yeah, I'm not sure about the stitches. That piece is pretty much fileted and is gonna shrivel up and die. It's still attached on both sides. The knife went in the bottom and came out the top.

I'm gonna keep it taped up until some new stuff starts to grow back.

I wish everything repaired itself like the body!!

Leaky roof? Dented fender or cracked windshield? No problem. Lifetime heads and sticks!!

I should have stuck with a traditional grip.

I can still play but the grip is a bit caveman style. I'm supposed to rehearse 4 hours tonight but I might cut it (heh heh) short because I have to gig Friday.

It could have been so much worse - it could have been me ;) ;) ;)

Yup, if it's really clean, then superglue is your friend. I used it decades ago, & hospitals used to frown on it. Now they use it themselves for shallow/clean stuff.

The biggest difference between stitches and superglue is that a Doctor will see it before it is stitched. Working at a hospital I can tell you superglue is still used a lot. Go see a Doctor. Stitches will save that flap.
