Default Suggestions please on a first kit

Hi. Im looking at buying my first ever kit. I want e drums due to living in a built up area but would like to have mesh heads on them.
I would like to get some suggestions (links if possible) on the best kits to buy from other peoples experience. I have had a look and there is so many to choose.
My price range is between 300 and 450. (The lower the better though) and I don't mind buying second hand, say from eBay.
Also I am into metal so I will be buying a double bass pedal from the start to learn with. So I'll need the bass drum with the e drums.

Cheers all :)

With E-drums you need to shop, especially for that price range. E-drums tend to be pricey because there is a certain amount of recoup the companies build into the technology and R&D costs. Acoustic drums (membranophones) are for the most part technologically static but E-drums are in a constant state of development, enhancement, and upgrade... the actual shells ect... are fairly static but the electronics are ever-improving and the customer/sales drive the improvement factoring.

Here, we have Craigslist for used gear.

My suggestion is always used/Roland.
