Default New ludwig hammered brass!

Just got it last week. Just dry enough but not as if I had die cast hoops or anything. She looks purdy too!!

Very elegant. I agree with your choice of hoops.

Beauty!
I have asked Ludwig for a non-hammered version for two years... Bring back the LM 401! They won't do it.
Good call on the flanged hoops. I had a hammered bronze with die cast hoops and it was too dry.

Wow that's stunning! Never had the pleasure of hearing one in person. What heads do you have on it?

Nice score Bonzobilly! I too would love to hear that drum. I imagine that it sounds as good as it looks. : )

Thanks everyone. Running a coated emperor over a hazy with 42 strand wires. Sounds great. I have a non hammered black beauty and before I played this thought it may be to similar to consider adding to the stable. I was wrong. It is as advertised. Drier and at a slightly higher pitch than the bb. Still has some tasty ring going on and that's important to me. A snare without ring is like a Pope without prayers. Pointless.
