Default DTX500 Set Hi Hat Pedal to Kick

Hi,

I have a Yamaha DTX 500 Electronic Drum Set and i want to set my Hi Hat Control Pedal to my Kick so I can use the Hi Hat Pedal and standart Kick Pedal to play double bass. My problem is that i read that this works but I dont know what to do to get the Kick sound on my Hi Hat Pedal. Does anyone know what to do?

Just go into your settings and change the HH pad from the existing HH sound to your kick sound.

I don't have a module like yours so I can't give you details but you can figure it out by pushing buttons or reading the manual :)

If you are using a HH65 pedal, just be aware that it won't be as velocity sensitive as your kick pedal response.
So you may want to consider a separate piezo trigger pedal like the Yamaha KU100.
Another option is to modify the HH65 similar to my Roland FD-8 pedal conversion: http://www.drummerworld.com/forums/s...d.php?t=113443
