Default My DTX snare has issues

Today, I went to play my drums and was wondering why I was hearing hits not registering on the snare drum. So I turned off my iPod and tried to duplicate it. And duplicate it I did. Several times. So then I plugged in the old DTX snare that had some bubbling issues with back shortly after I bought the kit and it works perfectly fine (except for the bubbling of course). It seems something has gone out in regards to the trigger on the snare because I can play a quiet fast roll and I'll occasionally not hear anything and then sometimes I'll hear one hit that sounds like it was hit loud, but I am rolling at the same rate and intensity the entire time.

I am writing this to you hoping that someone else has encountered this problem and perhaps knows of a fix. And perhaps since Yamaha's customer service was so spot on last time with the replacement pad, maybe they will be spot on this time (even though I may be out of the warranty cycle by now).

Thanks in advance,
Defender

this may or may not help, but with my yamaha e-drums, once every 6 months or so I have to clean the 1/4" sockets with rubbing alcohol and q tips, or I start to get mistriggers. I do both ends - the module and at the pad, and it helps mine, but mine are an older set.

No problem on mine but I am sorry to hear that you have such an issue. I cannot stand it when anything goes wrong!
