Real karma and the westernized version of "instant karma" are two entirely different things. True Karma is difficult to explain but it is NOT tit for tat....

He's wasn't a doofus, but how smart can you be jumping wakes in 50 degree water? I don't think this was staged. He just got out of jail not too long ago. He could have left the country. It's a pretty problematic way to fake a death, making that kind of a spectacle and all. Fifty degree water is unforgiving. He would have to have some sort of underwater escape means nearby, along with a scuba tank, and how do you stay warm?. That's the kind of stuff you see in the movies. And the tugboat wake had to be a random incident. It just doesn't seem probable at all. Too many things to go wrong, too many witnesses, with seriously dangerous conditions.

I can think of many safer ways to fake one's death.

Time to move on then Larry :)

I'm sure he hasn't faked his own death. river currents can be really strong. They might find him a few weeks later, or maybe never.

Either way, you shouldn't dwell on it, Larry. Especially when talking about karma and things like that. Forgive and forget, now that he's gone, you should think less about what he might have done in his life.

As far as everyone that thinks what Larry went through isn't plausible, I disagree. I have a strong suspicion I've been followed for years by some member of legislative assembly's son for a few years now. Entering my house when I'm not there, Stuff disappearing. God knows what else someone malevolent would do if they could enter your house again and again without consequences. Things have gotten better of late, thankfully. Karma, I tell myself.

I just found out today that John's body was found in May, about a month after the boat accident. My wife found this out from the facebook page of John's brother. We thought the body was never recovered but it was.

So now we know for sure what happened.

Yes. In my mind, I knew this already, but now it's finally done in my wife's mind. She always held that little bit of doubt.

Unfortunate story.....it seems like quite a leap to go from tax evader to murderer, but ya never know. This could have been 1st degree murder had any of the purported sabotage events panned out.

Hopefully there will not be a next time, but, Larry, man, don't be a sitting duck. A video camera on your property could have supplied proof of nefarious behavior or could have been a very powerful deterrent to such nefarious behavior. You would not have been looking over your shoulder.

The second amendment can also open the door for you to have legal protection.

Lastly, at least fence in your yard and throw a few well trained pit bulls out there if you have this type of thing hanging over your head. You would have never had a worry. It is your right to protect yourself and have a worry free life!

Sorry you had to go through this.....next time, arm yourself and be prepared....legally.

What an incredible story, my man. Your poor wife had enough to deal with with her son recently and I'm glad that the universe decided that the score needed a bit of settling.

When you actually think about the odds, it's an amazing story.
