Default Upgrade Dtxpress III

Hello everyone. I have a Dtxpress III Special kit and would like to upgrade the module. Kinda new to electronic drums, so a little unsure as what will work and what will not. I'm looking at either the DTX500 or DTX502. Will these modules work with my current pads? Are there advantage to the 502 over the 500 or are they virtually the same?
Thanks Larry

Your pads will work fine with either...I'd recommend the 502 over the 500... Newer generation module ...
